Project Overview

A small file-integrity monitor for servers: it watches directories such as /etc/nginx and /var/www/html and posts what changed to Discord.

Implementation Process

  • Keeps a snapshot of each watched file and compares it every 10 seconds (configurable).
  • Generates a diff and sends it to one or more Discord webhooks.
  • Webhook URLs and watched paths are stored in config files, and new paths can be added with --add-path.

Results

Every change to a watched config file arrives in Discord with the exact lines that changed.

Benefits

  • Spots unauthorized or accidental config changes quickly.
  • No agent or database needed: Bash and curl only.
